The Anchorage Police Department offers exciting career opportunities to qualified individuals, in a variety of fields: police officer, evidence technician, dispatcher, report taker and much more. Members of the APD team take pride in being a part of a department with a reputation for high standards and dedicated service to the community. Police officer applicants are required to participate in a rigorous hiring process. Fewer than 3 percent of those who test for officer positions are successful in the selection process, but those who do are met with a rewarding career opportunity.
